Profile Images - Beta

Please note that we switch on the profile images. So we follow your suggestions and discussions again.

Important: You find the image settings via the member navigation in your profile. You can set different privacy settings. If privacy settings can not be full filled by the viewer: an avatar will be displayed instead of your profile image.

For this every user got an random selected avtar. You can change this avatar next to your profile image. More information reagarding the profile images you will find within the next days on the insider blog.

New features and map material

A lot of work has been done in the past months. All relevant details are published in the belodged.com team blog ...

Please see below an extraction of the main improvements we made:

• New continental, country based and national maps are now available
• Scale / size of the integrated google maps was enlarged to wide-screen
• Locations on the detailed maps are now enriched with appropriate pictures and wikipedia content
• Option to add your facebook, myspace and hi5 pages within your belodged.com profile (see navigation community). Moreover you may set who and who's not allowed to see this information...
• Discussion boards with new feature upgrades
• Enhancement of the 'tell-a-friend' tool with new convenient services
• ... and much more - check out on the blog.

You can find belodged.com on facebook, hi5 and myspace. If you know some more community portals we should join, just tell us ;o)

What's next? On the blog you will also find a small road map about the ongoing work on the belodged.com platform. Feel free to recommend and discuss this and other features and content within the discussion forums in the member area of belodged.com

Tu libreta de direcciones y tu propio blog de viajes

Aquí siempre marcha algo. Ahora también esta lista la “libreta de direcciones”. En ella puedes organizarte tus contactos, añadiendo tus notas personales, con lo cual la comunicación con belodget.com aun es más sencilla. Esta libreta de direcciones la encuentras a través de “Member Navigation >> Your Profile >> Messages”.

Además, ahora cada miembro de belodged.com tiene la posibilidad de abrir su propio blog. Gracias a “wordpress” tienes muchísimas posibilidades: narra sobre tus viajes, haz un diario o comparte tus experiencias con otros, dándoles consejos o trucos, y todos los miembros te estarán muy agradecidos! La información para tener tu propio blog la encuentras bajo “Member Navigation >> Community >> mi blog”.

¡A partir de hoy! ¡belodged.com también en español!

A todos nuestros amigos que hablan en español: tras el inglés y el alemán nos enorgullece ahora poder ofreceros belodged.com también en español. No obstante, si algo faltara o no fuera correcto, rogamos nos lo comuniquéis – o incluso mejor – ¡mandadnos directamente la traducción correspondiente! ¡¡¡Os estaríamos muy agradecidos!!!

Si no, tampoco está nada mal practicar un poquito el inglés ;)

You can now do a full text search for the location of your dreams. You will find accommodations fast and easy. Here is a thought: if you use the map system it gets a little bit more interesting to search for possible locations.

Por el momento, ya están implementadas las funciones principales. Paso a paso y con tu participación, estas funcionalidades se irán ampliando más y más. Para tu información, las traducciones del sitio al francés, español y chino ya están en curso.

BigBang y relanzamiento

¡Finalmente, ya hemos recomenzado! Hemos trabajado durante un par de meses en el relanzamiento. El sitio web anterior globiwalk se ha quedado offline. Hemos concebido un sistema completamente nuevo con varias funcionalidades nuevas y un nuevo aspecto.

De ahora en adelante tú decidirás cómo continuaremos. Así es precisamente cómo la idea de "alojarse gratis conociendo a gente nueva" empieza a ser realmente divertida.

¡Celébralo con nosotros y únetenos! Hazte miembro, pasa las noticias a través del altavoz o cuéntaselo a tus amigos. Todos juntos ofreceremos experiencias viajeras increibles con montones de alojamientos privados en todo el mundo, en ciudades fascinantes o en el medio del bosque...

Secret Beta Test begins

Hundreds of hours in layout, text and programming - today belodged.com has its birthday. But only its Beta-Birthday. Meaning: We offer friends and friends of friends the chance to join belodged.com as the first users. Test us, criticize us, push us and send us your comments and suggestions.

We also like to give a warm welcome to our former Globiwalk members. Give belodged.com a chance - try it out. We hope you will appreciate the new world of belodged.com. If - for whatever reason - you would like to cancel your membership, please use this online form.

The Beta test will be finished hopefully :) by December 2007.

Reducción del servicio planeado para el 19 de diciembre

Quisiéramos dar las gracias a EveryWare AG en Suiza. Dicha empresa se atribuirá el alojamiento y el mantenimiento de la seguridad de belodged.com. Para ajustar los cambios y poner a prueba el nuevo entorno, se prevé un periodo de servicio reducido de belodged.com y todos los servicios para el 19 de diciembre en torno a las 14 horas CET (Berlín, Zúrich) durante unos 90 minutos (+/- 2 horas). Eso corresponde a las 8 h. PST en Nueva York y a las 12 h. EEST (Moscú). Para ver una lista completa de las equivalencias horarias, echa un vistazo a esta tabla horaria.
