Topic: planning to go to South AmericaPosted: 23 Jan 2009 at 2:50pm |

Can anyone help me out with my future trip. We plan to visit South America next Fall. Peru and Ecuador. Do some sightseeing and mountain hiking and just travelling around. The main questions are; what is the best time to visi? what places are "must to see"? are there anything I must no before going not to get in trouble? and can somebody tutor me a bit in Spanish? I know just ordinary things and I guess I need much more than that to get around - right?
Please, write me! |

Hi Zauka,
Welcome here, or not. Speaking from my experience, there a lot of people here telling this and that, but when it's time to help you, or to welcome you at home, you'll find nobody. Sorry to tell you, but I've read someone of other members telling same things and I've offered my flat to anybody, and last week I'v done a Spain tour, and no one answer to questions to sleep there, and the where on my route. Best regards. In Spanish, no problem to help you, really. |

Hi, Teddy
Thanks for advise, but really I do not expect anything extraordinary. I am a sort of person that count only on myself and when somebody helps me (for free!) that is a gift from a fortune. So I will not be disappointed if I do not get any free stay< but if I will get some information especially from those who already have traveled where I am expecting to be - that would be great! You offer me help in Spanish - isn't that nice! Muchas gracias! Ready to start whenever you can Will be waiting for your contact |

Hi Zauka,
this website is just for you both. Not for the other ones not replying to requests ;o). We will force the website to have as much active members as possible. We do not care about a large member count. For example on last thursday we deleted the accounts of more than 400 members which where not giving any replies. (this was next to the automatically clean up functions) We will work hard on optimizing the sort and filter functions for the search. Providing you even better and active contacts. Stay tuned and great luck in Spain, South America and the rest of the world. We will keep you upToDate Best regards yours belodged.com team |

Thank you so much for offering - Brasil is a top option on my list of the countries I am planning to visit in the nearest future! My friends were already there and they loved it so much that keep going there every summer :) The original plan for this Fall was to go hiking eventually to reach Machu Picchu - but I guess we would postpone it since the financial crisis had affected our family business.
Well, you got me really thinking about Brasil.... What is the best time to be there and what not to miss? Hear from you soon ![]() |

Hi,
That's a difficult question - it all depends on what you're looking for September to november and march to may is low season for air ticket prices, the weather is good (it's not unusual for temperatures over 40°c in february) It's only ever cold in Brasil in the south in the winter Rio de Janeiro is a must - the worlds most beautiful city - beaches, surfing, hang gliding, rock climbing. Bahia state is worth a visit - historic cities, miles of beaches, music everywhere, very laid back. The south is very bucolic, like 19th century europe. The Iguaçu Falls are a must - very spectacular. Amazonia - indescribable. The Pantanal - on a more human scale, less trees, spectacular wildlife. I could go on forever, just arive and enjoy! ![]() |
